Hi, I’m Lili. I’m an artist, illustrator, storyteller, animal lover and coffee enthusiast.

I make art because it’s what I’m passionate about and I simply can’t help it. Like most artists, I’ve been creating all my life or, in other words, ever since I figured out how to hold a crayon, cut holes into things and cover myself in paint.

Somewhere along the way I took a detour, spending about three and a half years in the world of conservation and restoration and I loved it with all my heart, but the urge to create instead of taking care of other people’s creations became undeniable. That’s when I knew I had to commit myself to this art thing. Because like Steve Jobs, I believe that doing what you love and what you’re truly passionate about, is the only way to do great work. And who wouldn’t want that, right?

I work traditionally as well as digitally and I especially love combining elements of both in order to create a unique and modern look. I love working with textures and vivid colours and I love both minimalism and simplicity on the one hand as well as detailed and whimsical illustrations on the other hand.

My passion for creating cute characters and writing silly little stories would be more than enough to keep me going, but there is another reason why I’m making art. In fact, it’s the reason why I chose to pursue art on a professional basis. And guess what: that reason is you.

Because what motivates me the most is sharing my work. Making people smile or even laugh out loud, making them wonder and sparking their imagination. Art is very powerful in its ability to evoke emotions and pull you into another world, even if it’s just for a moment. And that’s what I’m after.

So that’s why I’m here and I’d like to thank you very much for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your stay and I hope you don’t mind mice, because there are plenty of them. And you know how it is with mice: birth control isn’t exactly their strong suit.

Please don’t hesitate to shoot me an email or use my contact form if you have any questions, thoughts, proposals, feedback or pets for me. I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
